Job description
An award winning sustainable D2C company is seeking a UX/UI Web Designer to join their team. The right candidate will blend customer insight with intuitive, conversion focused design, and on-brand execution. You'll work across different parts of their site and (growing) product range, from designing subscription flows to sculpting beautiful landing pages, and compelling narratives. You'll have a drive to move quickly and test things, constantly using data and insight to iterate and improve your work.
Responsibilities:
- Working between the Growth, Creative and Development teams you'll drive the business forward by creating best in class experiences and flows across the website.
- You'll lead on gathering quantitative and qualitative user insight, whether that's through user interviews, usability testing, or data tools.
- Understand customer's needs and behaviours, and build flows and web pages that intuitively solve problems for them and are a delight to interact with.
- Create web pages that creatively and persuasively tell the brand narrative, and make the products desirable.
- From wire-frames to development ready designs, you'll own the design process and be responsible for moving things forward at speed.
- Reviewing the performance of the release, identify learning's and find ways to enhance it
- Maximise the team's impact and learning's through a test, learn, iterate design process
Requirements
- 3-5 years web and e-commerce experience, with a deep understanding of UX/UI principles.
- A proven track record of design work that drove quantifiable improvements in performance e.g revenue, AOV, conversion rate.
- You thrive on getting deep into the data and the details to improve existing features and journeys
- You love getting into the customers shoes, understanding how to sell them something, and how that translates to effective design.
- You're commercially aware, and have a deep understanding of conversion rate optimisation tactics.
- You are a proactive problem solver who can effectively bring structure to large or ambiguous problems to generate buy-in from stakeholders
- An understanding of cognitive psychology and how to apply social mechanisms in an ethical way e.g. gifting, referrals, engagement, activation etc
