Job description
We're partnering with a fantastic creative agency that works with major names in TV and entertainment. We're on the lookout for a German-speaking Social Account Director to join their team on a freelance basis.
As an Account Director, you will take the lead on a key client or portfolio of clients, driving excellence across all work and ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and growth. You will work closely with an Integrated Producer, as well as creatives, content managers, editors, and designers, either locally or from nearby locations to deliver impactful results.
We're seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in client management, deep expertise in social media, and a solid understanding of the processes involved in delivering integrated marketing and creative campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Client Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for one or more key client accounts, ensuring strong, long-term relationships that drive retention and growth
· Drive Commercial Success: Manage client commercial targets, collaborate with internal leads, and align activity with clients' business goals to deliver measurable impact and value.
· Set and Manage KPIs: Provide strategic direction to the client team, defining and managing KPIs that support both client success and internal performance metrics.
· Social Creative Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in social media creative, with experience delivering paid, organic, and influencer-led campaigns for high-profile brands.
· Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner effectively with other teams and external agencies to deliver a wide range of creative outputs, including production, events, activations, and brand partnerships
· Team Leadership and Development: Support, mentor, and delegate to client team members, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and feedback needed to grow professionally and meet client expectations.
Skills & Experience
· Minimum of 6 years in a creative agency environment with a strong focus on social media and content creation, including managing accounts with or without Account Management support.
· Fully bilingual in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey ideas and complex information.
· In-depth knowledge of social platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch, including best practices and audience engagement strategies across each.
· Background or strong interest in entertainment, social media, and pop culture, with a proven ability to apply that insight in fast-paced brand or marketing environments.
· Demonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members, while fostering strong internal and external relationships
· Strong ownership mindset with the ability to pivot quickly, solve problems effectively, and deliver consistently in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
Project Scope & Duration: Rolling Contract
Day Rate: £350-£400
Location & Workplace Policy: hybrid/remotely but should ideally be able to travel to London occasionally for in-person meetings with the team
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
