Senior Marketing Manager (D2C tech)

£60-80k

PLEASE TAKE NOTE - It is essential that you are an out and out ski addict who is absolutely dedicated to the sport. We are not looking for someone with a casual interest in skiing or who just likes it - we're talking OBSESSED!!

Our client is a pioneering fast growing D2C tech scale up which is shaking up and transforming their industry. The founders include a Forbes 30 under 30 and an economics PhD. The business has grown 2x a year for 5 years and with solid funding in place you'll be joining at a super exciting time. We are looking for a talented marketing leader who is ready to be the architect of their growth.

You'll be reporting into the VP of Marketing and leading on the growth strategy whilst creating and executing powerful marketing campaigns and tactics that really speak to customers. You will be the leading voice on which channels, creative and strategies to use in order to connect with skiers and maximising ROAS and ROMI.

Managing a budget of $2m and allocating into a mix of channels, you'll define the target audience and run the performance and paid strategy including FB and Google accounts. Leading on local activations such as retail and events and also drive brand and industry partnerships. As the senior Marketer in the team, you'll also run the website and ecommerce function and all PR activities.

You'll be going deep into the skiing industry, building a network of athletes, partners and advisors. You must have experience of building and executing paid media (social, ATL, print), analysing performance and adjust the marketing mix.

This is a high-accountability position with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the skiing industry so you will need to be strong at measuring your tactics and selecting where to invest.

Essential experience;

  • Multiple years experience in a role with sales and spend accountability - preferably in a marketing role for a D2C product.
  • Sports / Skiing experience: ideally brand or sports marketing experience, however for the right candidate, a very big passion for skiing will be enough
  • Strong knowledge and experience in marketing strategies, including brand, channel mix, content marketing, email marketing, and paid advertising.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to extract insights from marketing metrics and use them to optimize performance and inform decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ski industry, market trends, and customer preferences to drive informed marketing strategies.

  • Content Manager will help you execute on content requirements
  • Freelancers to support with design (static and motion), video filming and editing, PR.
  • Core channels are owned and managed internally (web, email, community, app)
  • Access to a network of skiers, instructors and athletes
  • You'll be the most senior role in a team, which includes:
    • Marketing executives supporting with email and local activation
    • Content marketing lead- social, video
  • Multi-year funding runway
