PR Account Manager - (FMCG Accounts)

Our client, an award-winning PR agency, is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their PR team.

The role involves managing key accounts within the Wine & Spirits sector. Reporting to the PR Director, the Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the agency and these clients. The position requires hands-on involvement, including tasks like sample sourcing, annual strategy planning, and building lasting relationships with influential media in the drinks and lifestyle sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the FMCG accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and building strong client relationships.
  • Develop and implement strategic PR plans, both reactive and proactive, to promote the brands' products.
  • Liaise with journalists, wine specialists, and other media contacts to secure coverage for the brands' offerings.
  • Handle press releases, sample collections, and media inquiries effectively.
  • Demonstrate excellent account management skills, including managing client expectations and firm communication.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform PR strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and possibly other clients in FMCG sector.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong account management skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients and media contacts.
  • Proven experience in managing PR events, press releases, and media relations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle sample collections, media inquiries, and client needs efficiently.
  • Ability to balance reactive and proactive PR efforts, adapting strategies based on client and market demands.
  • Previous experience in the FMCG sector, especially in wines and spirits, is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the corporate communication landscape and trends.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate complex client structures.
