Job description
Are you a content-led writer with a passion for clarity and purpose-driven work? We're working with a leading creative agency on a meaningful public sector project and looking for a Freelance Copywriter to help create a 20-page accessibility handbook. You'll be turning over 100 pages of complex data into clear, engaging copy that will directly support frontline officers assisting vulnerable renters. Key Responsibilities
Distil over 100 pages of source material into a clear, plain-English 20-page handbook
Write copy that is accessibility-first, human-first, and easy to navigate
Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to shape content structure and tone
Ensure content is aligned with government standards and accessibility guidelines
Create a go-to resource that empowers officers to better support digitally excluded renters
Lead the editorial direction, voice, and clarity of the handbook content
Skills & Experience
Strong background in copywriting
Experience writing for accessibility and inclusive communication
Confident working with complex information and distilling it into user-friendly formats
Experience working with public sector, government, or regulated industries (a bonus)
Ability to own content from research through to delivery
Comfortable collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams
