Job description

Are you a brand designer with a passion for electronic music and youth culture? We're working with a creative team looking to collaborate with a freelance designer on a full brand refresh for a renowned Drum & Bass brand spanning events, a record label, and merch.

This is an exciting opportunity to set the visual direction for a cult name in the scene - crafting identity work that will be seen across stages, socials, and sound systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refresh and evolve the brand's existing icon logo with updated usage guidelines and lockups

  • Design a new secondary icon logo for use across social platforms

  • Create a complementary wordmark to work alongside the logo

  • Build a brand system including colour palette and typography hierarchy

  • Define a basic motion approach for logo/type animation

  • Deliver a 10-15 page brand guidelines deck covering the full identity system

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in brand identity design, ideally within music, nightlife, or youth culture

  • Confident designing logos, iconography, and expressive wordmarks

  • Experience creating type systems and scalable visual hierarchies

  • Working knowledge of motion design principles (logo/type animation)

  • Ability to lead your own process - from concept through to polished deliverables

  • Bonus: familiarity with brand references like Fabriclive, Outlook Festival, Critical Music, DnB Allstars, Drumcode, etc.

Salary & Benefits

  • £300 per day

  • Freelance contract

  • Flexible working - remote-friendly

  • Creative autonomy and a cultural client you'll want on your portfolio

  • 12-16 days of work over 4 weeks (3-5 days per week)

Location & Workplace Policy

  • Remote work with flexible scheduling

  • UK-based candidates preferred for time zone alignment
