Data Scientist Opportunity


Location: Cardiff, UK (1 day per week in office)
Duration: 9 months (until end of 2024), with potential extension
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Rate: Up to £380 per day

  • Apply statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, ensuring relevance to business objectives.
  • Communicate complex statistical findings clearly to non-technical audiences, highlighting their business implications.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent field.
  • Proficiency in coding, particularly in R, complemented by experience with Python, SAS, SPSS, or similar tools.
  • Strong grasp of statistical methods and their practical application in data analysis.
  • Prior experience in a business environment, with exposure to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with credit risk analysis is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to process and analyze large datasets, including data matching and merging.
