Are you a UX & UI designer looking for a great new role with an innovative tech first brand?

Major Players are working with a Direct to Consumer (d2c) pet care brand who are looking for an experienced UI & UX designer to join the team. In this role you will build out their web and customer journeys and develop their wider digital / app offering with innovative and forward-thinking designs. Your creativity and ability to challenge traditional design norms will be crucial in delivering an exceptional customer first digital experiences.

You will be an experienced UX / UI Designer equally weighted in UX (50%); working from research and data to build out design propositions as well as being a visually strong designer who is not afraid to work with a bold and bright brand who pride themselves in creating stand out visual and UI work (50%).

This brand is instantly recognisable in its space and having a good understanding of the customer and what makes a pet owner convert to purchase is a bonus, you don't have to be a pet owner, but a strong understanding would be a bonus! who is passionate about ensuring great customer experiences by continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to stay ahead of the curve and bring fresh ideas to the table.

This role will be best suited to a designer who has worked end to end on products in an ecom or similar environment.

The day to day for this role will include:

  • Creation of visually stunning and user-friendly designs for website and later the app, aligning with the brand identity and target audience.
  • Be the champion a creative and innovative led approach.
  • Collaborating with colleagues at all levels to translate business objectives into intuitive and compelling design solutions.
  • Using data-driven insights, user research, and customer journey analysis to inform and iterate on design decisions..
  • Seamlessly transition between conceptual thinking and meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire design process.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the design system.

You will be well suited to this role if you have and can show:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer (minimum 4 years), with a portfolio showcasing your creative and interactive designs.
  • Expert knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and usability concepts.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and justify design choices to various stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in app design will be considered a strong asset.
  • Degree or certification in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred.
  • Have a good understanding of HTML, CSS & coding frameworks.

This role is offered as remote first with a 1 monthly requirement to a team meet up in London or Manchester

The whole team also meet quarterly to set strategic goals and socialise.

(UK based travel expenses will be paid)

Salary: £60-65k + benefits

You must have the right to work in UK in place to be considered for this role, and be able to work in UK hours (+ or - 1 hour)
