Queer & Now 2021

The events will queer digital curation into a new formation of LGBTIQA+ cultural activism. It will be a chance to celebrate, explore and critique the place of art, museums and creativity in today’s queer culture – uncensored, live and as an international community.

How to be an activist with Amika George & Adwoa Aboah

Monday 8th February at 7pm 

Young activist Amika George will be joined by Adwoa Aboah to talk about George’s new book, Make it Happen. After reading about children missing school because they were unable to afford menstrual products, at 17 George, now 21, started an online campaign calling for an end to period poverty. The resulting movement successfully persuaded the UK government to fund free period products for schools and colleges across England.
