<p><strong>Editorial Director, Social</strong></p> <p>Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle<br> London | Hybrid | 6 Month FTC</p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong> £75–85K pro rata<br> <strong>Contract:</strong> 6 months initially, review to extend<br> <strong>Start:</strong> By 1st April 2026<br> <strong>Location:</strong> 4 days per week in South West London office, 1 day remote</p> <h3>The Opportunity</h3> <p>A premium social publisher is seeking an <strong>Editorial Director, Social</strong> to lead its Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle vertical.</p> <p>This is a senior leadership role overseeing creator-led, platform-native brands with significant audience reach and commercial ambition. All content production is delivered in house by a multidisciplinary team spanning creative, design and commercial functions.</p> <p>You will lead a core editorial team of four, including a Creator Lead and social creators, while collaborating with a wider team of approximately 80 across the business.</p> <p>The focus is high-quality, social-first storytelling across TikTok, Instagram and owned channels including newsletters.</p> <h3>The Role</h3> <p>As Editorial Director, Social, you will define and drive the overarching editorial vision across multiple brands within the lifestyle portfolio.</p> <p>This is not a traditional newsroom role. It requires deep understanding of social publishing models, creator-led storytelling and audience growth within platform ecosystems.</p> <p>You will balance cultural relevance, audience performance and commercial objectives, ensuring content is best-in-class while meeting business goals.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the overall editorial strategy and social direction across Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle brands</p> <li> <p>Oversee daily content output, ensuring quality, consistency and cultural relevance</p> <li> <p>Manage and develop a team including a Creator Lead and social creators</p> <li> <p>Define tone of voice, brand positioning and long-term audience strategy</p> <li> <p>Drive performance across TikTok, Instagram and newsletter channels</p> <li> <p>Use data, platform insights and audience behaviour to guide decision-making</p> <li> <p>Partner closely with commercial teams to deliver high-quality branded campaigns</p> <li> <p>Report against editorial KPIs, audience growth and revenue objectives</p> <li> <p>Identify new opportunities for expansion within the lifestyle vertical</p> <li> <p>Champion innovation across formats, creators and platform evolution</p> </ul> <h3>What We’re Looking For</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Proven experience leading social-first editorial or content teams</p> <li> <p>Strong background within beauty, fashion or lifestyle publishing</p> <li> <p>Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram ecosystems</p> <li> <p>Experience working within a commercially driven publishing environment</p> <li> <p>Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable operating at senior level</p> <li> <p>Strong grasp of social media business models, partnerships and monetisation</p> <li> <p>Data-informed, creatively ambitious and culturally aware</p> </ul> <p>This role requires someone who understands how premium social brands scale, monetise and remain culturally relevant in fast-moving platform environments.</p> <p>If you are a senior social editorial leader ready to shape the future of premium lifestyle publishing, this is a significant opportunity.<br> <br> <strong>Please apply here or email your latest CV to Ella.augustin@majorplayers.co.uk </strong></p>
