<p><strong>Role:</strong> Group Account Director / Business Director (Social First)<br> <strong>Start Date:</strong> Monday 6th October <br> <strong>Contract Length:</strong> 2 months initially, with possibility to extend<br> <strong>Day Rate:</strong> £425-450per day IR35 TBC <br> <strong>Location:</strong> Central London (hybrid work office days are Tuesdays to Thursdays, remote remainder of the week)</p> <h3><strong>The Opportunity</strong></h3> <p>We are working with a leading creative agency at the forefront of music, culture, and entertainment. They are looking for a <strong>Freelance Group Account Director / Business Director</strong> to lead their largest global account, a world-famous music brand.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to step into a senior role where you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of multiple teams and accounts, act as the key point of contact for clients, and deliver socially-led campaigns that break into culture.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and oversee a large global account, with responsibility for smooth client relationships and delivery.</p> <li> <p>Provide <strong>strategic clarity and creative ownership</strong>, ensuring the highest quality of socially-led campaigns.</p> <li> <p>Build trusted relationships with senior clients, knowing when to escalate or bring in other leads.</p> <li> <p>Identify and convert new business opportunities while safeguarding existing projects.</p> <li> <p>Manage Account Directors, Senior Account Managers, and Account Managers, ensuring motivation and efficiency across teams.</p> <li> <p>Own financial accountability for accounts: scopes, forecasts, and resource planning to drive profitability.</p> <li> <p>Ensure accurate resource planning and collaborate cross-departmentally for seamless delivery.</p> <li> <p>Contribute to new business and pitch opportunities alongside programme leadership.</p> </ul> <h3><strong>About You</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Extensive <strong>agency background</strong> (social or creative agency) with a track record of running multi-million-pound global accounts.</p> <li> <p>Strong experience in <strong>social-first campaigns</strong> and creative problem solving in fast-paced environments.</p> <li> <p>Able to demonstrate leadership across client services, creative, and strategic delivery.</p> <li> <p>Commercially savvy with excellent financial and resourcing skills.</p> <li> <p>Hands-on and passionate about music, culture, and entertainment with the drive to make a genuine cultural impact.</p> <li> <p><strong>Immediate availability</strong> to start with handover in early October.</p> </ul> <h3><strong>Next Steps</strong></h3> <p>If this sounds like you, please email <strong><a href="mailto:ella.augustin@majorplayers.co.uk">ella.augustin@majorplayers.co.uk</a></strong> with your CV, availability, and day rate expectations.<br> Interviews will begin immediately, with the start date set for <strong>Monday 6th October</strong>.</p>
