Despite the drastic changes in the media landscape, Sky has kept up and cemented its position as a broadcast titan. Over the past six years, we’ve worked together to build robust creative and production teams with specialist talent.

With major offices in Osterley and Leeds and an ambitious in‑house model under Sky Creative, Sky had to attract candidates onsite in less central locations. Another layer of complexity is that they were competing for niche talent amid an intensely competitive market. As the business grew under Comcast, Sky needed to scale quickly and strategically while balancing senior leadership hires with the volume of specialist staff required to deliver diverse campaigns across multiple brands and products.

The approach 

As Sky’s long‑standing talent partner, we’ve supported both contingent workforce needs and embedded talent programmes alongside two successive RPO providers.

  • Provided strategic consultancy to help shape and build out Sky Creative’s in‑house production and creative functions.
  • Placed around 300 candidates across creative, production and marketing roles over six years.
  • Forged relationships at the director level with both the RPO and Sky’s internal teams, ensuring continuity and knowledge‑sharing through RPO handovers.
  • Advised on employer branding and EVP to help Sky compete with central London employers.
  • Held regular strategic conversations with department heads and procurement to align hiring plans with strategic priorities.

The impact 

Sky built and scaled an in‑house creative powerhouse able to take on the demands of the media landscape. By investing in niche talent and senior hires at the right moments, complex onboarding processes and internal shifts did not derail efforts to fortify their in-house capabilities. 

As a legacy media brand, Sky intended to keep evolving its creative and production offering along with audience expectations. By helping them attract, secure and retain specialist talent year after year, we made sure they remained an industry titan of note.
