An update from Major PLayers

With the events of the world unfolding at an unprecedented rate with such huge level of social and political upheaval, we’re all feeling uncertainty. I wanted to give you an update on how things are going at Major Players.

We have decided to carry on doing what we do best; providing support to our candidates and clients. Our team are now working remotely and are continually communicating with their contacts to ensure everyone is okay.

It’s encouraging to see that the demand for freelancers is continuing from our clients, and our team have been busy sourcing talent to work remotely.

Another positive outcome is that the government has now postponed IR35 until 2021 which will make it much easier to manage freelance staff in the interim. We also recognise that hiring the right talent is critical for the growth of all businesses - maybe even more so in these circumstances. We are currently working on solutions that will allow us to continue to deliver great talent in a way that is more cost-effective to your business right now.

Our team is staying strong and harnessing their resilience to focus on the positive. It is heart warming to see our team volunteering for the NHS scheme as community response and check-in and chat volunteers. We have seen some great ideas come through to support charities; by connecting our talent pool across the creative, digital and tech industries, free of charge.

I want to reassure you that we are here to help and it is now more important than ever to work together.

We hope that you, your staff and your family and friends are doing well and in the meantime, please, take care and stay safe.
