If you can't watch the video here are the key points that Ben mentions
It’s vitally important that you have a CV that can be adapted to the briefs we send you to. More often than not we find that talent managers and hiring managers don’t get too much time to look through CVs. So if they are skimming through them and they don’t see any information that matches their particular brief, you could then miss out on an important first meeting.
From the point of view of the client, it is absolutely essential that you do some research on what they are doing at the moment, meaning that you need to look at their case studies, website and previous work.
Also there is nothing wrong with taking examples with you to the interview, this allows things to get off on the right foot, showing them what you do, and what you can do for them in the future.
From the point of view of the individuals you are meeting, have a look at them on LinkedIn. Have a look at the agencies they work for. Have they worked for an agency that you have worked for before? Or maybe one that your friend or colleague has worked for before, find some commonality. There is nothing wrong with going into an interview and talking about someone you both might know it can get the interview off to a great start.
Then the rest is up to you!
