Who You'll Be Working With

The agency are an award winning branding, marketing and design agency based in central London with offices across the UK and the rest of the world. They pride themselves in delivering inspired, high quality, creative work for their brands (some of which are highly recognisable FTSE 100 businesses). The agency have a real creative flair and team spirit, and are now looking for a capable technical project lead to join the business and spearhead the delivery of their technical work. I've actually placed several people into this agency and only heard good things about the culture, career paths and the work they deliver. This is actually a brand new role within the business - in the past the agency's account and project managers have delivered all of the work for the business but now there is a real need to get an expert in to look after their most technical projects.

What You'll Be Doing

The job is that of an end to end technical project manager. You'll be responsible for supporting clients from the initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring that work is briefed out to the digital design and development teams, and be responsible for making sure that projects are delivered in full, on time and on budget. This will include scoping work in tandem with the CTO and dev team, planning and leading sprints, managing the backlog, looking after the RAID log and keeping the clients (who are often nontechnical) in the loop. Project wise, you'll be delivering a range of bespoke software projects as well as APIs, apps and some web build work.

You will be quite client facing, so being comfortable dealing with very senior stakeholders (CEO / CMO level is the norm for this agency) is helpful!

Who You'll Be

We are looking for an agile / technical project manager who is a highly organised, strategic thinker with exceptional communication and project management skills. This is a brand new role within the business so being somebody who is able to quickly adapt to a changing work environment would be helpful - you'll be able to shape the role around yourself to an extent. While ideally you'll have strong experience working in a design, branding or creative agency with client facing as well as delivery responsibilities, the real key for this position is having clear, demonstrable experience of owning the delivery of large-scale programmes of highly technical, multidisciplinary work.
