Student Liaison Officer

Creative £ 30,000 - £ 40,000 per year

My client, a top Educational Institution in the heart of London, is looking for a new Student Liaison Officer to join their growing business. They offer hundreds of courses to young adults in education, providing them with all of the knowledge and skills that they need before gaining a career in their chosen industry. They strive in success with grades and highly push on their gold standard group and one-to-one tuition system.

The Student Liaison Officer works in the busy environments of the front of house, and more quiet/informal rooms for student check ins, which provide the hub of student services provision and a welcome for all visitors and callers. The services provided to students include: providing information on all aspects of student life, from courses and accommodation options, social programme of activities & tourism, to visa information and dealing with complaints.

An important focus of this position is to organise arrival and departure transfers for all students and to ensure that the emergency-on-call-pack is kept up to date and is ready for use and coordinating the emergency-on-call rota.

As a Student Liaison Officer you are expected to have up to date, detailed knowledge of courses at the institution, bursary guidelines, sponsor duties and visa requirements. Full training will be provided for any databases used for independent tasks and student documentation records. Additionally, you will be responsible for booking arrival and departure transfers and have emergency phone duties. Appropriate training will be arranged.

Outside of your independent work, you will work within the team providing general administration and IT support to other staff members. In order to be effective in this role you will need to be versatile communicator, with excellent written and spoken English. You will also need to be able to foster and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and students.

A ready smile and a sense of humour are essential.

Energy and empathy are essential, along with a good work ethic and proven reliability. You will be personable and approachable, with an authoritative yet friendly manner. The ability to use your initiative, multi-task and prioritise, along with a good attitude towards team work is important.

Preferred experience:

* Bachelor's degree required
* Qualification in nursing/social work or other relevant professional qualification
* Experience supporting people with mental health
