Major Players is working with a top creative and digital agency based in London, who are looking for a superstar Social Strategist to join their client service team, driving best in class creative for clients such as top alcohol and FMCG clients. We are a clever content agency that works with world class brands to deliver an audience led approach that gets brands closer than ever to their consumers and creates relationships that last. We make sure our client's messages aren't just seen, but heard, engaged with and most importantly, acted on. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to work agency side leading the social strategy for one of the world's most iconic alcohol brands and how they recruit a new generation of consumers. It doesn't get much get much better than this!

The role will take a hands-on approach to projects, working with the Social Media Exec/Manager and creative team from concept to creation. This includes large scale social campaigns, content calendars, product launches, campaign shoots and influencer campaigns. The successful candidate will have the foundational skills of a strategic planner and at least three years experience in a strategic function within an agency and who does not require a rigid way of working. This agency is a small, agile agency who are still growing and adapting as a business and this role will suit someone happy to adapt with them.

* Strong understanding of social platforms and how to maximise their potential for reaching and engaging with consumers
* Have an innate world curiosity, actively keeping in tune with popular culture, being aware of trends, brands and technologies and how they impact our business and culture in general
* Excellent communication skills - persuasive, articulate and confident with the ability to drive a compelling presentation
* Strong understanding of social platforms and how to maximise their potential for reaching and engaging with consumers
* Good lateral thinker
* Ability to write and deliver inspiring creative briefs and work alongside creative to execute these
* A desire to learn and proactively seek and share platform updates, industry news, interesting campaigns, etc.
* Ability to build strong client and team relationships
* Comprehensive understanding of data to evaluate content performance and demonstrate the effectiveness of social
* Experience in paid social campaign management an asset, but not necessary
* Experience of conducting primary research a bonus
* 3+ years' experience in Social Media/Content/Digital, preferably in an agency setting or within applicable industry (also open on to taking someone who more experience, who is looking for a part time role)

What You Will Be Doing Day to Day...

* Develop social and content strategies for clients
* Using an understanding of consumer behaviour in broader culture and across digital to draw and communicate insightful conclusions
* Support the social media team to develop regular content calendars plans, as well as larger scale campaigns
* Constantly propose new ideas and concepts for social content
* Constantly implement new techniques to drive engagement and meet our clients' objectives on social media
* Maintain and update knowledge on the general social media landscape and in the context of specific clients
* Work with the Social Media Manager to drive the creation of insightful social media reports
* Lead planning and execution on Communicator's social media marketing and channels (with the support of a Social Media Manager)
* Develop industry thought pieces
