Social Media and Content Manager

Digital Marketing £ 30,000 - £ 35,000 per year

Account Management -

The SMM will be a main day-to-day contact for the client. We expect the SMM to have nothing less than incredible client servicing skills, fostering a trusting, consultative and personable relationship. This includes, as a minimum, punctual responses to all communications, incredible attention to detail on all material, never missing a deadline and an empathy to the challenges that clients face in their business.

Our SMM's are the engines of the agency. They will be the central point of contact across the inter-agency team and will be working with the creative, strategy and insights team to deliver multiple creative briefs simultaneously.

Content Planning and Creative Management -

With the support of the Team Leader and the Strategy team, the SMM will be responsible for planning and delivering all social content output for their suite of brands.

The SMM will need to work with multiple clients simultaneously, be comfortable curating large cross-agency relationships and efficiently manage multiple briefs at once.

The SMM will be responsible for ensuring that content assets are briefed in and delivered in a timely fashion. They will also be responsible for getting relevant approvals as required.

The SMM will be responsible for briefing, reviewing and delivering creative into the design studio, working with the team from ideation to final delivery. They should have a clear opinion on what good looks like, as well as the confidence to challenge creative and demand the highest standard of work.

The SMM should have a clear understanding of paid social and the important role it plays in modern social media marketing.

We are looking for a SMM who will bring panache, creativity and proactivity to the role. They will be full of ideas, identify tactical opportunities and not simply 'deliver the plan'.

Community & Channel Management -

Working with the Social Media Executive, the SMM will be responsible for the day-to-day management of social media channels & community activity of multiple brands, including scheduling, uploading & monitoring content campaigns (mostly with paid support), plus proactive and reactive conversations, ensuring that platforms are being effectively moderated, and issues are escalated quickly. All-in-all, providing best-in-class service - a totally dependable "safe pair of hands" - with an eye for detail and quality control.

Normal hours for channel moderation will be 9am-6pm. There will be a limited responsibility for being "on-call" for out-of-hours crises and alerts (1 week in 4).

The SMM will be brilliant at understanding a brand's essence and tone-of-voice and will be comfortable assuming the voice of the client's brands, connecting and engaging with people across the different channels.

The SMM will be working closely with the Social Data Analysts, who's insights will be influencing our content ideas & creative briefs.

The successful candidate will have excellent experience & knowledge of Sprinklr or similar platforms, to help implement the content calendars

Reporting -

The SMM will be confident in analysing channel performance and capable of producing reporting documents. We're looking for someone who looks beyond the numbers and can evaluate the impact of performance and can incorporate those learnings into future work.

They will be supported by Social Insights Analysts, but the SMM needs to be capable of delivering standard reporting documents to a very high standard.

The SMM will need to be confident liaising with the paid social media agency, working closely with them to help optimise paid social campaigns (what's working, what isn't etc.) and be agile enough to adapt plans accordingly.

Alongside impeccable client servicing, the SMM will need to demonstrate an understanding of creative, insights and strategy, as well as how these come together to form best-in-class social marketing.

FMCG / NA Beverage experience is NOT a requirement - if you've got the right skills and the right attitude, you're in.
