Who You'll Be Working With
Contact: Daniel Whitmore
My client are a design agency in East London specialising in the world of architecture and 3D visualisation. They have a great set of clients, a strong team and a culture for ongoing professional and personal development. They did have to make a handful of redundancies due to the lockdown due to a slightly reduced pipeline of work, but they now need to add a new senior project manager to the team following a slight restructure of how they deliver their work. Prior to the pandemic they had a strong culture of looking after work life balance, not encouraging overworking and spending endless evenings in the office. Even now, they are well set up for remote work and they make sure that people are well looked after in terms of mental health and workload. In terms of the team itself, you'll be working closely with a highly experienced operations director and a well established project management team. Collaboration is at the heart of the agency and this role will embody that.
What You'll Be Doing
As a senior project manager in the team you'll have oversight of all the usual stuff including budgeting, managing timescales, and then overseeing teams on a project by project basis with the deliverables including marketing collateral, 3D visualisation and AR/VR experiences. The team are very collaborative and supportive, but you'll have complete autonomy and control of your own set of projects. There is a client management team in the business but everybody in the agency is client facing including the project managers. While you won't be expected to win new business yourself you will be involved in supporting that function of the business, scoping out work directly with the clients and being a steady point of contact throughout the production process.
Who You'll Be
You will have a great understanding of delivering creative work for a start, ideally in the CG / visualisation space though AR/VR work is still very relevant. They also deliver some technical / web build projects so experience in this field would be helpful. We ideally would like somebody with experience in the world of property, architecture and placemaking but if you have good project management skills and have delivered the right sort of collateral then the clients you have worked on don't matter as much.
The usual character traits also apply - we want somebody who is positive, energetic and curious, with a can-do attitude and a knack for organisation.
In short, it's a great chance to take a on a challenging and interesting role and become part of a world beating team at a really nice boutique agency with excellent clients.
