ACCOUNT DIRECTOR/SENIOR ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - £50-65K - Youth Culture - Fashion and Lifestyle Brands

Super cool agency based in Shoreditch are looking for an AD/SAD with their finger on the pulse of the Gen Z digital phenomenon.

The agency specialise in delivering holistic campaigns designed to engage hard-­to-­reach young, urban consumers -­ typically Gen Z.
The projects usually employ a range of tactics and outputs that amalgamate exciting events, with content creation (still + moving image), plus an amplification element that sees them push this content via social media, using organic and paid media.

Role Overview

We're looking for a seasoned Account Director to build a solid team comprising of existing and new
employees, whilst leading multiple clients and projects, taking real ownership and driving incremental
growth across these accounts. They should be an accomplished manager, passionate about up-­
skilling a young, diverse and non-­traditional team -­ in the sense that whilst their brand and cultural
awareness is second to none, their grasp of and exposure to traditional agency process is still
maturing and needs guidance.

This AD should instill a strong sense of confidence both externally with clients and internally with the team and they should be hungry and passionate to join a young,
fast-­moving agency, eager to make their mark on the business and get stuck in during this exciting phase
of growth, elevating the agency and their own future as a figurehead in the company.

As Account Director you will steer your team in the pursuit of excellence through the delivery of
outstanding creative executions and first class account handling whilst achieving commercial targets.


What You're Here To Do

Account Handling

* Take ultimate responsibility for the account and client relationship
* Represent the voice of the client within the agency
* Act as guardian of the account (internally and externally)
* Lead and manage the account team ensuring excellence in delivery, following set agency procedures,
against set KPI's per project
* Shape the future of the account, driving growth - Recognising and identifying opportunities
* Make solid recommendations based on the agency culture to our clients demonstrating strategic
understanding of their business, the competitor landscape and business challenges
* Drive and respond to new briefs with the team
* Embrace and collaborate with Partners and the internal production team to ensure solid execution of all
activations
* Ensure all campaign elements are underpinned with robust contractual, H&S, legal and insurance
documentation (escalating to legal team as required)
* Encourage an environment of creativity, pushing yourself, your clients and your team to go beyond the
obvious
* Ensure and evaluate resource to meet all client demands on a regular basis
Financial Management
* Demonstrate financial acumen and flair, adhering to agency and client procedures whilst installing
diligence across the team
* Demonstrate knowledge of the financial model by balancing our profitability needs with
client service requirements
* Manage overall client revenue, profitability and performance against forecast
* Input into finance systems with the SAM
* Monitor staff utilisation and performance, training and supporting where necessary
* Provide guidance to finance and procurement to effectively negotiate with clients, and suppliers where
necessary

People Management

* Motivate, inspire and lead your team, fostering a culture of accountability
* Mentor, challenge and develop the team by demonstrating outstanding role model behaviour
* Track and evaluate career progression of team through regular catch ups and annual appraisals
* Quickly identify and address people problems or issues within your team, escalating, if appropriate

Brand Building

* Demonstrate an always on mentality in regards to new business and networking on behalf of the agency
* Participate in new business initiatives and contribute to the overall culture of the agency
* Competently represent the agency mission within a credentials presentation
* Maximise and seek approval for successful campaigns and pitch wins with clients

We like you because you have

5/6 + years experience
* A proven track record of account handling and delivering excellence
* Experience working with leading consumer brands
* An ability to think strategically about marketing challenges, whatever the brief, audience or channel
* Previous experience managing senior clients providing best in class account handling, problem solving
and relationship building
* Process driven, with experience of financial systems, managing budgets, profitability and delivery
* Experience in managing multiple individuals, driving them towards excellence
* Excellent written and presentation ability
* A natural fit with the company culture
* A gravitas and presence to make things happen!
