Of course you do. Everybody does. Unless you're a sadist and enjoy being miserable of course but if that is you then this one is probably going to be a hard pass.

So what's the situation?
I've got an independent creative agency who have a really strong footprint in the world of hospitality and food. If you're a fan of eating out and enjoy comparing menus then their borderline obsession with the subject will be right up your street. They hired their first project manager about six months ago (via myself - he was a really nice chap to work with too) and due to the resounding success of his time there they have had a little bit of a restructure, moving more of their delivery work away from the account management team into the newly formed (now three people and rising) project management team.
In total there are about 40 people in the business so you'll know everyone by name within a week of working there which is always nice.
They've got a remarkably strong culture, know how to look after and retain their staff, and their client base is rather strong - I guarantee you've eaten food from at least one business they work with*. When I say retention I mean they don't make you work 800 hours a week like some of the under-resourced places out there. Amazing what a difference that makes isn't it?
What's more the project director you'll be working alongside (not under. He'll look after you but they are nice and collaborative) is a bit of a legend. Not in the "I am famous" kind of way, in the "what an easygoing yet competent and all together delightful human being to work with" kind of way.
Refreshing. Excellent. Nice.
So who am I looking for?
We want somebody who is naturally collaborative, who can strike that golden balance of process and giving the creative and technical teams space to breathe, and who knows how to run a project from client briefing through to a successful delivery. Strong creative work, on time and on budget usually means a happy client. In terms of the work you've delivered ideally we want web build projects although elements of digital marketing collateral will also be in play so good knowledge of this space helps. You'll be working with creatives and developers so knowing how to manage different kinds of people will also be helpful.
There's no need for words like "dynamic" or "driven" or "enthusiastic" - that's all standard practice.
I'm talking about ownership of your work. I'm talking about putting your stamp on a growing team. I'm talking about a business you can be proud to be a part of.
Long story short if you want to be part of a growing team, a growing agency and a team you'll actually enjoy going on away days with, then this is the one for you.
