Product Manager - Zero waste groceries

Product & Project Management £ 50,000 - £ 55,000 per year

This mission is to eliminate packaging waste from groceries by making it easy for customers, brands and retailers to buy food and household products with packaging that can be reused rather than sent to landfill.

I am on the lookout for a brilliant mid-weight Product Manager tohelp build the UK's only Zero Waste e-commerce grocery service.

Job Summary

Looking for a talented product manager to turn this ambitious vision into a product that delights their members, empowers partners and makes the mission a reality.

They work in a pragmatic way, but place a strong emphasis on outcome-oriented decision making: using data and research insights to help outline user needs, define priorities, identify the solutions and execute them.

You will work closely with the founders and senior team as well as the product engineering team to deliver outcomes.

Discovery & Research

You will...



*

Lead product discovery, collaborating with engineers, designers and other stakeholders


*

Determine what the right thing to build is for your customers - supported by data and evidence - as quickly and cheaply as possible


*

Conduct research and be the voice of the customer


*

Interrogate product, business and ops data to inform decision-making


*

Champion solutions - we call them bets - that have a higher probability of success


*

Be comfortable mapping existing processes and identifying better ones


*

Have a solid 'product sense' - you can bring together knowledge of UX, systems, design, human behaviour to identify what will work and what won't




Delivery

You will...



*

Lead product development process to ensure we deliver in an efficient manner


*

Prioritise and set the team direction, creating a sense of urgency and momentum


*

Write user stories and acceptance criteria


*

Sense risks and flag issues


*

Manage features through development, ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date


*

Break down your deliverables into smaller value chunks and iterate through delivery, releasing value early and often


*

Work closely with the team to plan releases and coordinate across dependent products


*

Monitor and measure the success of the feature/product


*

Lead decision-making to optimise, pivot or drop features

Developing complex products through the full product life cycle

Working with development teams to deliver amazing products with clearly measurable customer and business benefits

Managing stakeholders and articulating plans clearly

Driving consensus when there are conflicting priorities, constraints and opinions
