The Client is a boutique, traditional research consultancy with 20 years experience based in East London, with clients across a range of sectors including; FMCG, finance, retail and charity, with two thirds of their work being qualitative and one third quantitative. This is the go to research agency when it comes to quality, as they have a great reputation for high quality methodology, thinking and delivery, resulting in the opportunity to work alongside some fantastic repeat clients, as well as the chance to pitch for new business. The team is made up of 15 and has stayed at a similar number since the company's conception, meaning the culture is supportive and collaborative, yet there is also the chance to work autonomously
when managing your own projects.
They now seek a qualitative junior research manager who has come from an agency background, be it small or large. You will be managing different fragments to a number of moving projects across different sectors, all to a high standard. As the team is fairly small, you will be given the opportunity to work across a varied client list. This role involves predominantly traditional face to face methodology, however there is also an element of online methodologies, in particular pre and post tasks. You will be balancing your time between longer strategic projects, and a number of smaller fast paced jobs, going on to then provide recommendations from your insights.
You will be an experienced qualitative researcher who is keen on high quality work and you will be able show a proven rigor in your past work. This role is ideal for someone who has developed excellent face to face core skills and has a solid grounding in the research world. You will enjoy the supportive and close culture created from working at a small company and will be happy to 'muck in'. You will be confident in managing your own clients, across FMCG, retail, finance and charity sectors, and seeing projects through, from start to finish. You will be a strong relationship builder with a commercial mind-set, able to proactively reach out to clients and win new business. This company was founded by a couple, who have since retired, so there is a real closeness and collaborative ethos throughout the whole team, they are looking for someone with a lot of energy and gravitas who can bring interesting thoughts to the table. There is a real sense that you would be working 'with them' opposed to 'for them.'
