Head of Social Media - The Role

You will be leading all things social media across the agency from a purely content and engagement perspective. The team specialises in producing social strategies and campaign content for a broad and diverse range of clients. You'll be heading up a team of 10+ strategists, community managers, planners and creatives. This is a broad and demanding role that will require you to lead the team from the front and work at a highly strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities: -

 Lead and develop Social Media Marketing team proposition within the agency and
ensure Social Media plays a key role in the clients marketing mix
 Oversee a team of 10+
 Attend senior level client meetings and regular client status meetings
 Grow existing business by upskilling the internal teams - giving them the ability to sell in additional services
 Identify, develop, present and transition new opportunities that solve client problems
and advance their business
 Establish and grow senior level relationships with clients
 Support the agency in winning new clients and pitching.
 Work with the Head of the division to grow the overall agency proposition
 Be a clear knowledge leader with your team, ensuring wider strategic thoughts on
social, trends, and development in the category is spread throughout
 Oversee delivery and quality of client strategy

Skills and Experience: -

 Strong knowledge of digital marketing; with a particular specialism in social media
 Background of leading social media focused teams within a relevant agency (media, digital, social, content, creative, PR, marketing etc)
 Proactive self-starter
 Exhibit accomplished presentation skills within the agency and to clients
 Possess general knowledge of direct and brand and/or performance marketing
principles and strategies
 Have a deep understanding of the wider marketing landscape
 Have excellent knowledge of different social tools
 Have polished communication and analytical skills
 Be able to maintain high client satisfaction levels and ensure targets are achieved
 Have strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
 Have media agency experience and/or client-side social experience
 Build personal and team industry profile through events, PR and industry networking
 Be prepared to meet and exceed revenue goals and quotas
