Head of Digital Optmisation - Remote

Growth & Performance Marketing £ 50,000 - £ 60,000 per year

Major Players have partners with a pioneering travel company that specialises in trips to the ends of the earth; extraordinary destinations that provide customers with wonderful experiences and lifelong memories! Their websites are amongst the leading online guidebooks to the regions of Antarctica, Patagonia and the Arctic. The usability, conversion and digital marketing of these websites are fundamental to their offering. They are now looking for an experienced digital marketeer to take full ownership and accountability for their enquiry flow, with responsibility for website content and conversion optimisation and search marketing.

Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the volume of enquiries the website receives from potential customers
* Gain an in-depth knowledge of the website architecture and business model to identify opportunities for growth in 2021 and beyond
* Define a robust 12month plan, with detailed channel forecasts, to optimise flow of enquires
* Maximise the ROI on the search marketing budget. This will include defining a longer term SEO strategy and experimentation across Paid Social
* Liaise with in-house Development and Design team to scope and project manage a website transformation that will deliver a step change in website conversion
* Define and implement best in class CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) strategies, defining the testing road-map and overseeing the end-to-end testing process
* Lead on analytics processes, using tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Optimise
* Determine the content strategy and how best to leverage current resources, including our in-house Videographer, to deliver an enhanced digital experience
* Enjoy a leadership role within an ambitious company and begin to build your own team / function over the next 12-18 months

Skills and experience required
* Conversion expertise: Proven experience of transforming a website to deliver increased end to end onsite conversion
* Analytical/strategic: possess deep understanding of key metrics numbers and drivers, underpinned with innate commerciality
* Agility and ambition: Be motivated to play a key role in driving forward a brand that is a leader in the travel industry
* Digital knowledge: Have a breadth of knowledge and expertise that includes Paid Search, Social and Content
* Great communicator: You'll need to engage a range of stakeholders with your strong written and verbal skills
* Passion for adventure travel: You will be interested in the industry with an informed perspective on travel and climate. Travel industry experience is not required
* Experience: 2-6 years spent leading the design and delivery of digital optimisation strategies
