Head of Content Strategy

Social, Content & Influencer Marketing £ 70,000 - £ 75,000 per year, £70k - 75k per year

Major Players are working with an ambitious Content Agency who are now looking for a Head of Content Strategy to join and build a new department in London! You will be leading relationships with a number of clients, pitching and delivering strategic content campaigns whilst also growing out your own team!

This exciting opportunity requires specialist knowledge in producing strategy and ongoing campaigns across video, animation, podcast & influencers. You are a senior leader that thrives on developing a truly market-leading proposition for clients and also the challenge of helping build a business that’s very much on growth mode! 

The Role: 

  • Be responsible for an industry-leading team, driving incredible results for clients, alongside cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

  • Be directly involved in the pitching and selling of services to clients, along with responsibility for leading their onboarding and ultimate success.

  • Work with the teams across the business in shaping progressive and engaging content for our clients.

  • Be as passionate about B2B content as B2C content and have fresh ideas about how to communicate sometimes complex information.

  • To create conceptual ideas and be able to monitor their performance, whilst reporting to the client on learnings for future strategies.

  • Be responsible for the effective delivery of your projects, on time and on budget, whilst managing client relationships and expectations.

  • Keep up to date with new technical and creative developments in the content marketing sector with awareness of social trends and competitors.

  • Work with a team of data-led creatives to conceptualise and win content production services off the back of the strategies that you have implemented.

  • Attend client pitches and partake in proposal submissions.

  • Lead the production of our own content to drive sales & marketing.


You: 

  • Strong experience in a similar role within an agency.

  • Proven experience of creating strategies, recognizing opportunities for unique and successful content, and generating new ideas that utilise video, animation, podcasts, voice and photography heavily.

  • Proven experience of producing content narratives for multi-channel comms strategies.

  • Proven experience of taking learnings from performance and adapting strategies for constant improvement.

  • Experience of working with influencers.

  • Previous experience in pitching and winning new business for an agency.

  • Experience of integrating content with Marketing, PR and Comms strategies including an understand of how content works alongside SEO, PPC and other elements of the marketing mix

  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients.
