Global Marketing Director - The company

My client is a global webinar-based, classroom style training provider specialising at delivering forex trading courses to those who want to have a secondary income stream. Having been around for c. 15 years, the company saw unprecedented growth during and post-pandemic and coupled with a change in their business model,  the business has grown up to four-fold in some territories, underpinned by excellent profitability and positive free cash flow.

A large part of my client's expenditure is on digital, direct response marketing via YouTube and Facebook channels, currently generating a healthy pipeline of enquiries per month. To date, however, the Company has not employed a Marketing Director, rather relying on existing external resources including some mid-level marketing and external digital professionals. 

To be able to really affect the next growth chapter, they are looking for a commercially driven and talented global marketing director, a person with experience in extensive direct and social media marketing to devise the marketing strategy in line with the business strategy, someone who will ensure that their marketing performance is improved and consistent. The director will be managing a small team of digital marketers, creative contractors and agencies.

Global Marketing Director - The role

 

  • To ensure that the marketing performance is improved and consistent.
  • To ensure the accuracy of our marketing performance statistics and to automate these digitally.
  • To manage the marketing suppliers, bring on new suppliers when required or build internal teams (essential) when required or suitable.
  • Ensuring spend is managed effectively and not wasted. Experience of managing marketing budgets of £500k per month is ideal. 
  • Ensure that detailed performance statistics are maintained and used to boost marketing ROI performance.
  • Identifying and implementing new marketing channels and campaigns
  • Create plans and strategies for marketing of each channel
  • Managing teams to ensure organic content is regularly posted on the social media accounts.
  • To ensure marketing content is up to date and provided in a timely manner to the marketing agents.
  • Create and implement strategies on how to commercially leverage our organic social assets. 
  • Make the regional CEO aware of any red flags that could impact marketing performance / commercials.
  • Ensure that all new marketing campaigns and changes are communicated to the sales teams.
  • Being technically savvy and hands on is essential.

Global Marketing Director - Proven experience and success measures

  • Bring on new suppliers to all current and new regions OR potentially build in-house team to replace suppliers. 
  • Bring new platforms to market (TikTok, Google PPC, LinkedIn, Bing etc.)
  • Be the problem solver for all current social platforms i.e. YouTube and Facebook problems (ad disallows/spending on unqualified leads).
  • Improve the % of sales that come from free leads and organic marketing (email/YT channel/facebook group etc) thereby improving the ROI on the marketing spend.
  • Automating the reporting and ensuring real-time accuracy, to improve business decisions.
  • Knowledge of marketing in global regions to facilitate global growth.
  • Manage the content marketing /advert pipeline.
  • Individual must be very tech savvy, we want someone hands on who can look through accounts and look for issues or ways to improve.
