I am looking for a Business Director to freelance at a small media and entertainment agency based in London.
Starting ideally ASAP (flexible with start date) on a 1 month rolling contract.
Your role as a Business Director
Our Client Service Team go beyond the standard expectations of a typical
Account Management team. Our client’s briefs are never predictable and the creative
solutions are always equally as unexpected. So navigating the process requires real
entrepreneurial spirit and gumption.
We are the eyes and ears of the client, helping the wider team understand the business
problems that need to be solved and guiding the client through what can often feel like a
daunting process. By ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently, we enable creativity
to breath and flourish across the whole business.
As a team, we are inspired when it comes to thinking broadly in the development process
and we are totally unfazed by seemingly impossible productions. Ultimately, delivering
ground-breaking, effective work for our clients is what motivates us.
As a Business Director, your team and clients look to you for support and
advice across a range of situations. Your vast experience, both your past achievements and
(equally important) your past failures, mean very little fazes you; you support and guide the
team through all weathers.
Your confidence and broad knowledge base allows you to flex into a variety of roles,
dependent on the situation, issue or opportunity. This allows you to truly negotiate with all
team members, whether it be making decisions on creative, changing internal processes, to
reaching scope agreements that work for both your team and client procurement.
While you ensure the day-to-day is running smoothly, you are always thinking of the next
stage, nurturing projects to foster successful results for both client and your team, while
focusing attentions on opportunities with both new and existing clients. You are the most
senior account handler on your team, you are the guardian of the P&L and you are the
author of your own to-do list; your role is ultimately proactive.
You see your job description as a guide and this means you understand that the role is broad
and often takes you on a surprising journey. Your role is to fundamentally ensure that both
client and the company ambitions are realised and that can often take a real entrepreneurialism,
conviction and drive.
You'll be working with a range of new and exisiting high-end fashion and beauty clients, as well as being part of lots of new and exciting things that are taking place - including start-ups and big brands getting on board!
The company are working from the office Tuesdays and Thursdays, but this role can be filly remote if needed.
