Major Player are currently working with a really exciting tech start-up based in the heart of East London who specialise in helping employees of companies connect with each other better.

About you.

They're looking for an experienced product designer to join the expanding Product team.

Working in an agile environment and as part of a cross-functional team, the product designer will have the opportunity to identify and define product features and will work pragmatically to solve them.

They believe user research and evidence-based design is fundamental to creating compelling digital products.

They are looking for someone who can undertake research and confidently use the findings to inform design decisions, seeing the entire design process through to completion.

The product currently operates across web and mobile, and this role will be focused on building out and improving features that will benefit all our users and customers.

REQUIREMENTS

Details of the role:

Work alongside Product Design and Product Management and cross-functionally with Customer

Success and Engineering to define, design and validate product features across web and mobile

Pragmatically build out prototypes, validating and iterating as required

Confidently communicate design hypotheses and findings with internal and external stakeholders

Undertake user research to inform design ideas

Be the steward of our design systems, allowing us to build quickly, and without creating technical debt

Experience and skills:

Analytical and well organised

Great communication skills - confident working as part of a team and presenting to internal and external stakeholders

Have several year's experience designing digital products and services (User Experience, Interaction and User Interface Design), delivering solutions that have elevated customer and user Experience

Experience in user research or usability testing best practice, specifically in regards to user-centred design

Experience in hypothesis-driven design, A/B testing, and defining quick and inexpensive ways of learning and iterating

General understanding of how design impacts development, along with a knack for constructing dynamic, interactive designs that are technically feasible.

Have experience working as part of a Sprint team

An appreciation of the entire product development process, from problem-solving through to detailed UI and visual design

Experience working with design systems

Possess a healthy degree of pragmatism to know where design can be most impactful, and where.
