Who You'll Be Working With

My client are a brilliant branding and digital design agency in East London with a very strong, tight knit team culture, excellent creative work, a positive and driven environment and a lot of growth potential. They've promoted their current digital director into a more operationally focused role as the agency goes through transformation in preparation for future growth. This role will not be a like for like replacement, however. As an agency they are very collaborative, have a very open environment and accessible senior team, and strongly encourage a good work life balance. In terms of the team itself, you'll be working closely with a highly experienced ops director, the wider production team along with the creative and development teams internally. They also have a global footprint with offices across Europe for the extra international factor, and a strong and reliable client base. This agency are going places.

What You'll Be Doing

As a the Digital Director for the business you'll be responsible for the end to end delivery of all of their digital work. Currently, the work is more weighted towards the web design and build side of things, but their digital marketing workload (spanning social, content, SEA/SEO and data analytics) is rapidly increasing so you can expect a healthy mix of deliverables. You will be directly responsible for the project management team, including mentoring and development, but you'll also be involved in delivering some of your own projects and consulting and educating key clients for the business. Alongside the project managers (some of whom I placed into the business), you'll be looking after a pair of UX/UI designers and a pair of developers, so experience in managing people in these roles will be a big help!

Who We're Looking For

First and foremost we're looking for a seasoned project director with solid experience in leading a team responsible for the delivery of both web build and digital marketing projects. While the groundwork is very much in place (the digital team is seen as the most polished part of the agency internally) there is still plenty of room for new ideas and you'll be given space to breathe and lead the team in the way that works best for you and the people who will be reporting into. As mentioned, the agency culture as a whole is fast paced, supportive and laser focused on delivering excellent work so we want somebody who can champion that both internally and with senior clients.

Having good knowledge of the full digital marketing mix would be a massive asset for this role as it is such a new area for the agency - you will be a key part of helping to grow, develop and deliver this offering.

Fluency in French is a big plus for this brief given the European focus for the agency, but German or other European languages would also be a big plus.
