Data Analyst - The Company
Our client is a recently launched Subscription VOD service within one of the world's best known media owners with a fantastic assortment of brands. They have a fantastically strong brand and a great opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the team.

Data Analyst - Key Skills
* 3-5 years experience as a data analyst specifically related to online products and services
* Expert user of Adobe Omniture
* Exceptional skills at visualizing data
* The ability to synthesize large data sets from various sources and distil into concise analysis and actionable insight
* Excellent relationship management skills, as you will want to leverage the organization's existing data analytics capabilities and the demand and expectations of a wide range of internal stakeholders (commercial, product, marketing, customer services)

Data Analyst - Additional Skills
* Experience of interacting with Google Playstore and Apple Store analytics
* Familiarity with Tableau as a visualisation tool
* Experience in the design and validation of A/B (split) and Multi-variant tests (including use of Adobe test and target)

Data Analyst - The Role
As a Data Analyst you will be generating routine reports against key performance indicators (product, content, commercials) with commentary to highlight trends and actionable hypothesis, typically:
* Overnight (daily) performance dashboards/ headlines for the team
* Weekly dashboards and monthly executive summaries, including impact of promotional (marketing) activity
* Monthly deep-dive analysis and presentations on the impact of product development, editorial-scheduling and marketing activity on commercials, product usage, viewing behaviour and content usage
* Quarterly cross-department updates, including MoM trends
You will be working with a Data Architect and the digital analytics implementation team, to ensure that the 'tagging' of code in the apps supports the metrics required to be reported on, is 'identifiable' within Omniture and provides confidence in the integrity of reports.
Other responsibilities
* When appropriate, creating dashboards to allow internal stakeholders to self-serve routine reporting requirements
* Filtering and validating ad hoc requests for metrics to be tracked and reporting requirement against known business priorities
* Updating CPA, CPC, CPR and lifetime value indicators against forecasts, and reforecasting
* Working alongside the Commercial Director and with other data teams to establish a Measurement Framework: the key metrics against which the performance of the service should be judged and monitored, in line with the overall business goals; in particular, the key indicators and behaviours around the acquisition, conversion, retention and churn of free-trial and pay subscribers
* Establishing baselines to inform the setting, forecasting and routine review of targets against ROI targets and P&L planning in particular
* Modelling CPA, CPC, CPR and lifetime value of customers against forecasts and comparable industry standards
* Continually evaluating approaches to measuring the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns and the influence of social media activity
* Developing and maintaining predictive models to identify retention and churn behaviours within product and content usage
* Developing behavioural user segments to inform user research and testing
* Working with the team to identify data-driven hypothesis to drive experimentation
* Working with the Commercial Director and Data Architecture - Solutions team to develop a programme of A/B and Multi-variant testing
* Communicating with other data analysts across the organisation to ensure consistency in measurement across the organisations product portfolio
* Improving and contributing ides on how to store, manage, mine and analyse data
* Maintain awareness of current trends, approaches to measures and analysis
