Who You'll Be Working With

My client are a highly creative, independent creative agency in North London who have been busy throughout the year in spite of lockdowns and the industry being in a pickle due to the rona. Their innovative, flexible approach as a business allowed them to simply work in a more agile way with their solid client base, resulting in only furloughing a small number of their people. Client wise, they've got a great mix of recognisable brands along with start ups who they've built the entire brand for from scratch - startups whose names are now quite recognisable which is a resounding endorsement of the work the agency delivers! They cover everything from brand identity and strategy, through to packaging and design, and then integrated campaigns work as well. They've got a very well established account and project management team, and are now looking to add a capable account director to the mix. Culture wise, they've got a very flat and open structure and work in a flexible manner - the environment would be great for somebody who either prefers the flexible small agency way of working, or who is frustrated with being boxed in by a job description at a larger business.

The Job

As an Account Director you will be spearheading the management and delivery of work for one of the agency's key clients, a highly recognisable name who they've been working with since the agency was set up. Delivery wise, the work covers the usual integrated comms mix along with branding, packaging, and web / digital deliverables. They don't have a dedicated project management team so you can expect to be hands on with delivering the work from end to end rather than simply being an order taker and relationship manager - you'll be taking briefs, scoping work, budgeting, managing timescales, and then delivering the work on a project by project basis along with a wider team of account/project managers. They do work with TV producers, however, so don't be worried about being thrown in the deep end from a production point of view!

We are looking for somebody who wants to muck in. The agency are fast paced and highly collaborative so you'll need to be a quick learner, highly adaptable, and excited to get your hands dirty delivering projects from end to end. We want somebody who can work closely with everyone and anybody internally, doing what it takes to get great work done for your client. We would like to get somebody in who already has some solid experience (a couple of years) working at a director level though a really strong SAM could also be a match for what we are looking for. Background wise, you could come from a big network agency or a boutique, so long as you are comfortable taking complete ownership of a key account with a massive variety in the workload and a huge range of internal stakeholders.

The team are highly energetic, personable, and passionate about the work they do so they'll want somebody who can complement that.
