State of the Industry

By Neil Clements, head of recruitment for technical (including developer jobs, IADBAs and systems admin jobs)

2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year within digital technical.

Last year saw an increase of clients demanding more for their money, continuing a trend set in late 2008 where developers found themselves having to keep up with latest trends and technologies to make sure they were on the frontline when clients looked at hiring.

2010 will be no different and in fact we are seeing a huge surge in demand for Facebook developers, iPhone developers and of course talented Front End and Flash Developers. Clients now expect their technical teams to fully understand social media, not just the development side but also how social media fits into business needs.
