Support roles within the creative marketplace went through a number of changes last year. Traditionally employers have been prepared to take on candidates who had the right personality match and train the skills to match. Selection has now become much more competitive, based on the core competencies needed for the role. To retain the edge over other candidates, you’ll need to make sure you keep your skill set strong and as broad as possible to keep yourself transferable and desirable to employers who are looking to get as much from their recruitment spend as possible. Despite a slow start to the year our clients are noticing a slight upturn and are optimistic that this will continue through quarter two and beyond.
