My client launched in 2000 and are the Internet's No.1 trusted services provider in their industry. In the UK, they launched in the summer of 2008 and are now one one of the most recognised UK brands in their industry with more than 3.7m members. They also offer dedicated services in Australia and Canada and have customers from over 190 countries worldwide.
UK SEO Director - The Role
My client has seen significant growth in SEO performance over the last year after bringing all SEO resource in house. They are now looking for an experienced SEO who is comfortable working as part of an adaptive acquisition team and can continue to build visibility in key profit areas for our brand.
-Setting the UK SEO strategy, including identifying target opportunities for customer acquisition growth and communicating these internally and to stakeholders
-Setting SEO targets for growth of traffic, visibility and acquisition/sales
-Implementing on-site changes to copy and working with our design team in the US to ensure best SEO practice in all on-site content creation
-Monitoring SEO health and performance, and reporting progress internally using tools including Universal Analytics, a major SEO tracking platform and our proprietary internal acquisition tracking tools
-Managing our Social Media Manager and working with her to better understand the opportunities in content and social
-Working closely with the Comms Team to brief on outreach opportunities and content creation to fit with SEO goals
-Working with the PPC team to ensure aligned targets to optimise any spend
-Working with our international teams in the US and Australia to ensure SEO strategy is aligned across locales, including briefing our internal dev team in the US on required on-site changes and helping them to prioritise work on the UK site
UK SEO Director - Key Skills
You must have at least three years experience working in SEO, either in-house or at an agency and be up to date with the latest SEO news and trends and understand how this information practically informs modern SEO strategy. You must also be comfortable not just setting the SEO strategy, but also carrying out the practical work needed to implement it. It is also important to have experience working with a variety of digital analysis, tracking and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics, Search Console, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, aHrefs, or similar amd to have had to manage people before and oversee their individual development. Being an excellent communicator with experience reporting on SEO ROI on a regular basis is also important, as is being a strong influencer who understands how content and comms impacts SEO, and have worked with comms teams to create and implement SEO-beneficial campaigns. Finally, you must have experience working on mobile and regional SEO and have at least a basic working knowledge of html
