My client is an online video platform who has clocked up more than 350m views and now has over 15 million registered viewers. They are continuing to grow at a fast pace with views increasing by 20% and registration increasing by 35% year on year.
Social Media Content Distribution Manager - The Role
This role involves working within the social media team which is a part of the Marketing Department. You will need to build strong relationships with the teams who are making the television programmes as well as the teams who are funding these programmes.
Your primary role is to work with the commissioning editor - and production - to get as many views as possible on the website content. You will work with brands and understand where they are coming AFP before and made it a success. You need to be able to use social media to promote video content with maximum efficiency.
Social Media Content Distribution Manager - Key Skills
The key skills involved in this role are as follows;
Strategy & Planning - A track record of working with commissioning, production companies and brands to create an effective plan to get content to as many people as possible. You need to be an expert in how to make content fly in social media.
Creative Thinking - You must be buzzing with creative ideas. Commissioners / production companies should see you as an indispensable part of their team who can make their project more successful.
Stakeholder Management - You need a track record of working with brands to produce AFP. It is important to be able to understand where the client is coming from and ensure that you get to a place where the client is happy and the content produced is loved by the public.
Media Planning - You need a track record of working with media agencies to develop a media plan that can get content to people who will love it. The aim is that these people then start doing the marketing of our content for us.
Resource Management - You need a track record of being entrepreneurial and resourceful to get content to millions of people with very limited resources. The key is great strategic thinking, creative thinking and teamwork.
Talent Management - You need to work with talent and their agents so that they are helping us amplify content as much as possible.
Reporting & Optimisation - You need to demonstrate the value of what they are doing both to people in the business and to clients. If the results aren't great you need to be able to work out why and formulate a plan of action.
