Social Media Manager - The Company

My client provides a creative workspace and cultural venue that brings together thinkers, makers, artists and entrepreneurs. Social Media Manager - The Role

As part of our commitment to nurturing creativity and entrepreneurship, my client is looking for a Social Media Manager to ensure their members and wider community remain informed, connected and engaged across their social channels. They are looking to tell the stories of the brand, their members, and the inspirational speakers who come to talk at their space. Their events programme is a crucial aspect of the business which requires a team of creative and curious individuals. Working with the events team, your job will be focused on what our brand looks and feels like across their social channels. You will work with videographers to capture interesting and engaging content to push out across these mediums. This is an extremely broad and challenging role for a talented individual, you are somebody who can spot a good story and think both strategically and creatively about how to promote it.

Responsibilities: -

- Work with the Events Manager and Co-Founders to devise and implement the content strategy for all social media channels
- Write copy and create shareable visual assets for all social media posts
- Own community management across all channels
- Distribute content in formats relevant for the different SM channels
- Identify trending topics to feed back to marketing and events team with suggestions for how to react
- Attend talks at the venue and create live social media content
- Discuss and advise on different formats/assets at the content development stage that would enhance the effectiveness of SM postings
- Report on SM performance
- Support the events team with commercial project activation

Skills & Experience needed:

- Minimum of 2- 3 years working in a social media role in the creative industry, preferably in a startup or creative organisation
- Expert on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr and Pinterest
- Experience using social media tools such as Tweetdeck, Facebook & Google Analytics and Buzzsumo
- Understanding of digital storytelling, social distribution and analytics
- Confident working independently and productively as a member of a collaborative team
- Open to sharing ideas, accepting constructive feedback to benefit you, your projects and your team
- Full of passion, energy and enthusiasm and eager to work in a fast paced environment
- Passionate about technology, business, culture, the arts and design
- Great time management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
