My client is looking for a Press Officer to join their award winning media relations team for the Life and Pensions business during a period of excitement reform within the pensions industry.
The small but busy in-house team is responsible for maintaining the companies' reputation by dealing reactively with incoming journalist queries as well as proactively achieving positive coverage on our products and business in the UK Broadcast, print and online media.
The role will also involve promoting a number of our protection insurance, investment and retirement solutions products.
It will also involve working on Brand PR by communicating the company story and difference to customers and stakeholder sin compelling ways.
The role is London based but will require occasional travel for 1 day per fortnight in the business's head office on the South Coast.
Who are we looking for?
- At least 2 years experience working in Media Relations / Press Office
- Proven track record of dealing with journalists, over the telephone and face to face
- Excellent written /interpersonal skills
- Working in Financial Services/Professional Services previously is highly desirable but not essential
