Omni Retail Performance Manager - The Role
Purpose of the Role...
The purpose of this role is to be the business lead in the client's online performance strategy focusing on joint digital marketing to deliver an Omni-channel experience.
-Act as go to person across product divisions for digital retail owned and paid initiatives
-Ensure we are getting best ROI on all co-marketing activity and ensure we are hitting agreed targets across product divisions
-Innovate and scale joint search (SEO & PPC) programmes with retail partners
-Develop and deliver new co-marketing initiatives across paid and owned marketing channels
Manage internal relationships:
-Ensure all internal stakeholders involved a solid working relationship with you and see you as the key search digital expert with focus on Paid and Organic search across Samsung (SEUK) division and corporate marketing
-Be an ambassador for co-marketing and ensure you and your team communicate Digital activity in an easy to understand language
Manage and create external profile/relationships:
-Working with agency partner present plans and strategies to line manager and senior stakeholders
-Comfortably discuss trends in the search industry with internal/external stakeholders
Strategy & Planning:
-Attend planning and channel partner meetings to identify opportunities to extend scope
-Be aware of Samsung's overall marketing objectives ensure co-op marketing projects are aligned with over-arching media strategy and other channel strategies
-Ensure all strategies are based on solid insights and audience understandings
Day to Day:
-Support creative approval and compliance
-Regularly communicate with the team and channel to ensure deadlines are met
-Project manages co-marketing activity to ensure end to end process is delivered on time and meets Samsung KPI's.
-Quality check all work carried out by agency and channel partners
-Solid knowledge of Analytics, Display, channel advisor, media activity, search tools and AdWords
-Understanding of new paid marketing formats for co-marketing
-Understand data available in tools and how it could benefit Samsung
-Be aware of new technologies being introduced to the market and their benefits over other technologies
Omni Retail Performance Manager - Key Skills
As such this role requires the following:
-Strong track record on global/regional digital assignments with knowledge and capability in paid search activity
-Consumer Electronics experience is an advantage
-Proven experience of driving clear ROI from paid marketing activity
-Demonstrable experience of developing new opportunities for brands/product divisions
-Highly numerate and proven analytic skills, ideally supported by appropriate degree level education
-The ability to effectively and efficiently multi task
-Strong agency management and delegation capability
A university degree in Business, Marketing and/or Retail
A minimum of five years' experience working in an operational digital role requiring deep technical knowledge and web development know how and day to day management skills, with evidence of commercial success.
A deep understanding of the Consumer Electronics / Technology consumer online experience.
Thorough knowledge of digital marketing and ability to deliver value as part of the integrated communications mix
Demonstrated expertise of digital tools & techniques and developing creative solutions
Proven project management skills - capable of delivering project plans, managing digital schedules across parallel projects
Ability to effectively manage agencies and to work in large cross functional teams
-Be commercially driven with all work and encourage team to do the same
-Strong and well attuned interpersonal skills, a force but not forceful
-The ability to challenge in a structured and well thought through way
-A very good team player
-Collaborative, motivational communicator
-Build strong relations with content planning teams
-Ability to deliver tangible outcomes - not just a process
-Keep abreast of news & changes in trends in client industries & update team accordingly
-The ability to multi task on a grand scale
-Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills are essential.
