Our client is a renowned digital marketing agency who works with the world's most famous sports organisations and teams.

They are looking for a Marketing and PR Manager to cover all areas of modern communications including PR, journalist engagement, internal communications, social media, website upkeep and development, content creation, driving the communications strategy internally and externally, managing the reputation of the agency and all the other fun and exciting things that may crop up under the banner of PR & Marketing.

As PR and Marketing Manager you are responsible for raising the profile of our client's brand. With a growing client roster, team and plans for expansion your role will be pivotal in increasing our reach and awareness within the sports industry, building relationships with key stakeholders and generating new business interest.

Primary Responsibilities

* Raise the profile through digital and social media activities, with a focus on lead generation
* Achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across sports industry and marketing trade media
* Implement marketing and promotional campaigns alongside the Business Development team
* Act as a first point of contact for all media / marketing enquiries
* Develop and maintain a database of media contacts to engage with on a monthly basis
* Manage the creation (ideation, copywriting, proofing, asset creation), delivery and reporting of PR and marketing content
* Regularly analyse and report on press and marketing activities
* Keep abreast of the news agenda and trends impacting on the industry
* Manage and co-ordinate strategic third party brand and media partnerships
* Oversee publicity opportunities
* Lead on all awards submissions
* Manage a workflow and calendar of Marketing activity
* Create marketing materials to support the role of business development and PR (press releases / media
packs etc) in collaboration with our designer
* Manage our social media output
* Be creative and develop new ideas for marketing activity, including white papers

You will have…
* Outstanding writing skills (press releases, features, website content, newsletters, award submissions)
* A black-book of contacts with marketing and business trade media within the UK
* Tenacity for creating and telling compelling stories
* Meticulous attention to detail, detail-oriented, organised and adept to prioritising
* Ambitious with demonstrable experience in taking ownership for projects and driving activities forward to deliver results
* A fascination and real interest in technology and the use of technology
* Team player with the ability to work efficiently within a small but dedicated team
* Experience in managing events
* A motivated self-starter who isn't afraid to get stuck in and do what is necessary to achieve success
* Full understanding of digital marketing and social media
* A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in working with major UK brands
