A leading design agency is currently recruiting for a Head of Marketing. The company design brand led retail experiences for clients such as Amazon, Vodafone and Harrods. The company has global reach and has offices in a variety of world locations
This is a new senior executive role to head up marketing working closely with the executive leadership team and Board of Directors. The purpose of this role is to be ultimately responsible for raising profile and reputation building of the role is for an individual experienced and comfortable engaging with C-level and senior clients, consulting with them on marketing initiatives and new tools.
The Head of Marketing will have first class communication skills, most likely to have been acquired from within a similar type of agency or design firm, and have an excellent understanding of the changing business environment. Ideally s/he will have a strong track record of marketing brand and design consulting services.
The role's primary purpose is to manage the process of awareness and reputation building, to put the agency on the radar of clients. This includes managing the entire marketing programme - from identifying key events, awards, media and press partnerships, social media channels that culminate in driving the agency's messaging and communications.
Lead marketing programme - lead, initiate and execute marketing programme in line with new business strategy
Lead market research to develop unique content, customer experience research and insight
Manage awards entry programme and writing of submissions
Connect with clients to gain data, additional results and approvals required for publishing and awards entries
Develop target strategy with new business team working with viewpoint and case study content to market content across B2B channels to create new business leads
Social media strategy
Sales and marketing collateral - responsible for the creation of compelling sales and marketing collateral
CRM - manage and implementation of newsletters, on-going communications with existing and new clients/database
Qualified leads - develop leads through marketing activity for new business team to activate and follow up against specified targets
Manage all social media platforms including website, Twitter, Linked-In, and emerging platforms - content strategy, content creation and content management
Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, media and industry leaders to ensure Household key people are on expert panels, speaker platforms, commenting/columns in design, trade, business and national press (international) and at the forefront of experience design for retail
Press relations - manage relationship, writing and handling of case studies, imagery/film with journalists and press
Manage and work with external PR on specific projects and events set out in the marketing programme
Must have worked in a Marketing function within an Agency environment, ideally within a design or creative agency
Ability to build and develop a full Marketing function both strategically and executionally
