Head of Content - The Agency
My client is an established agency that have been producing excellent work for the last 8 years. They pride themselves in creating compelling content that entertains & engages viewers and at the same time the campaigns are effective & more engaging than traditional advertising. Their client list consists of market leaders across the globe in the FMCG, Technology and Travel sectors amongst others. They are a medium sized agency with a great "family" culture, they take what they do very seriously, and also find the time to have fun in between. The agency are now looking for a Head of Content with real enthusiasm, passion and curiosity for content marketing.
Head of Content - The Role
The Head of Content is a client embedded position within this award winning content agency. The Head of Content will be the go to person for all the clients content needs. The Head of Content will be responsible for managing and advising on existing multi-channel content opportunities, identifying new ones and bringing new original content ideas to the table. The Head of Content will work in house for the client 4 days a week, this client is in the Travel sector.
Head of Content - Key Responsibilities
Confident working across Travel, Food and Holiday content.
Compile and own a complete archive of all existing content. Become totally familiar with it and be able to make use of it/adapt it at a moment's notice.
Advise on creative consistency and themes so that all content is working more consistently.
Advise on all existing content opportunities - e.g. current sponsorships, events, and partnerships. Bring new original content ideas to the table.
Able to able to manage multiple content work-streams simultaneously.
Have a good working understanding of production, post production, budgeting and scheduling - with support from the Head of Production, so they can advise the Managing Director and CMO of what is/is not possible.
Able to work with all of the clients channel owners to understand their content needs and which channels content needs to be created for.
Confident to attend senior team meetings to give a voice to the role content can play to drive the business forward, particularly the weekly sales tracking meeting and be able to discuss where and how content can help with short-term business and sales needs.
Head of Content - Requirements
Mid-level experience at outstanding brand-orientated production companies and/or content marketing agencies (digital is a given),
The right person needs to inspire those around them about the power of content, offer solid production understanding,
Be comfortable interpreting creative insight, as well as ensuring that all work delivers against agreed strategy goals.
At ease talking about content and campaigns with people of all levels and confident enough to hold your own in a fast-paced environment.
Natural enthusiasm for content as well as the ability to identify the opportunities for content across all mediums and platforms - including identifying new ones as they emerge.
Content experience across video, still photography, GIFS & cinemagraphs, editorial, blogs (and bloggers), public relations content and testimonials (written and video).
