My client are an instantly recognisable UK Professional body who are recruiting for a an External Affairs Manager to create impact with global influencers through the delivery of excellent content.

The External Affairs Manager will take responsible for creating this content across platforms and geographies to raise the group's profile as a voice and influence institute.

The role holder will do this as part of a team that deliver's the group's "One Voice" advocacy strategy so that the group remains the most relevant institute in the management accounting space and is known, valued and respected, endorsed and recommended by key influencers across the group's global markets.

* Creation of content to communicate campaign and advocacy-driven programmes and partnerships to a diverse range of global stakeholders

* Responsible for managing the Group's Annual Review content, editing and sign offs

* Project management of magazine strategy and assist Head of Department in scoping of strategy, market research and liaison with editorial teams to make recommendations

* Point of contact on magazines and core speech writing for Regional Directors, Country Managers and key colleagues in the corporate centre

* Ongoing day to day management of magazine channels in particular Financial Management

* Oversee revamp of Financial Management magazine content and promotion

* Responsible for creation of Senior Management Team and Honorary Officer speeches, columns, PowerPoint presentations to fund 'one voice' advocacy strategy (180 written in 2014)

* Responsible for delivery and regular reporting on departmental KPIs

* Support Head of Reputation and Communication to deliver directorate strategy

* Day to day coordination of External Affairs Executive (Communication & Content)

* Working with advocates to ensure they are presentation trained as required to ensure hard hitting delivery and influence

* Ability to edit impactful content for different audiences
* Speech writing and editorial skills - preferably from a business and industry background
* Experience of writing Annual Reports
* Translating the group content for senior journalists and opinion formers

Qualifications and experience

- Educated to degree or equivalent in a relevant field

- Experience of creating content for publications, including social media

- Experience of creating speeches for senior stakeholders

- Experience of global working and cultural awareness desirable

- Project management, stakeholder and relationship management desirable
