Online Retail Specialist - The Company

Online Retail Specialist - The Role

My client are looking for an experienced online retail marketing professional to play a critical role in delivering the client's digital retail strategy, focusing on the areas below:

Own & Deliver Innovative Online Retail Partnership Projects: Identify and deliver on collaborative opportunities between the client and retail partners
-Support in delivering digital work streams with retailer partners
-Projects will vary according to retail partners, but may span across all digital touch points such as website content & merchandising optimization, conversion rate optimization, omnichannel shopper journey analysis, increase online traffic share, cross-category brand page optimisation, data sharing, driving leads from assets through to retail partners, and supporting flagship product launches
-Work with internal sales and channel marketing teams to ensure campaign reporting and data transparency is in place with retail partners
-Leverage first/third party data and all marketing channels
-Work closely with internal channel leads to deliver on campaigns and ensure alignment/benefit across the rest of the business
-Manage external agency resources and assets efficiently and effectively to deliver campaigns/projects
-Track, measure and optimize campaigns during and post-campaign
-Manage budget process including business case to pitch for budget, regular tracking and reconciliation

Encourage Online Retail Best Practice: Inspire the business to push the boundaries of online retail
-Work with channel marketing teams to encourage retail partners to deliver best in class online experience for the brand and products, including auditing retail partners on how they represent our brand and products
-Optimise the 'digital shelf' for products on retail partner platforms versus competitor brands
-Support channel marketing teams to maximize value from co-op marketing by evaluating campaigns and setting benchmarks/KPIs
-Help the business understand the retail journey across the client & retail partner platforms, including the levers we can influence to optimise lifetime value of customers in a complex digital ecosystem
-Connect the dots between the client and retail partners from a brand as well as commercial perspective by understanding what drives a retailer's business and the dynamic between retailers and manufacturers

Key Responsibilities:

-Support in the delivery of the UK digital & retail strategy
-Develop and deliver online retail campaigns that drives both revenue and brand KPI's, working with retail partner heads of digital
-Ensure all internal stakeholders involved in your projects have a solid working relationship with you and see you as a key contact & trusted liaison
-Project manage digital initiatives to ensure end to end process is delivered on time & meets KPI's
-Ensure internal processes are being adhered to when managing projects
-Collaborate with broader Marketing teams to efficiently deliver great digital outcomes
-Prepare project plans & support management. Ensure projects have a seamless integration with our wider product offering
-Support in the drive for consumer acquisition and retention across digital whilst optimising the onsite consumer journey
-Celebrate & share great work delivered by your team with the wider department

Online Retail Specialist - Key Skills

Key Competencies/Characteristics:

Ideally, you will have:
-A University degree in Business, Marketing and/or Retail
-5-10 years' experience in commercially focused roles both from an ROI and marketing budget perspective (multi £M) with demonstrable experience in driving financial outcomes and can influence new initiatives into business and gain required investment to deliver
-Thorough knowledge of digital marketing and ability to deliver value as part of the integrated communications mix
-Demonstrated expertise of digital tools & techniques and developing creative solutions
-Proven project management skills - capable of delivering project plans, managing digital schedules across parallel projects
-Ability to effectively manage agencies and to work in large cross functional teams
-Confident in developing and managing projects jointly with corresponding senior digital specialists from our retail partners
