Its rich archive of family classics contains over 5,000 hours of programming including cult magazine shows and cartoons and it is truly one of the leading creators, producers and distributors of TV entertainment brands in the world.
Based in London, the Digital Marketing Manager is a global role and will form part of the brand management team. They have a critical function, acting as the central hub for all digital development, execution and analysis. The role has two main focus areas:
Creation and monetisation of content on social media (primarily You Tube and Facebook but expectation is other platforms to be introduced as relevant)
Driving brand engagement across all relevant social media platforms
Working in conjunction with brand, licensing and distribution teams, the role will manage and plan social media for all key brands. They will work with key stakeholders to co-ordinate activity and liaise with key broadcaster and retailers' social media teams to oversee delivery of content and marketing activity to the relevant platform. They will advise the brand managers of the optimum platforms and create bespoke plans for each brand, in all key territories.
In addition, it is anticipated the Digital Manager will work closely with the production teams and 3rd party partners to optimise the digital content offer as part of the development of new series
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
Work with brand managers to create and implement strategies, by brand and by territory, which support our organisational objectives
Identify potential agencies and 3rd party support and content creation opportunities
Manage the day to day liaison with external agencies and act as the central point for all social and digital activity
Oversee ideation/content creation and ensure content is delivered against agreed brand editorial calendar. Effectively manage all key social channels to optimise content, audience development, talent partnerships and monetisation
Prepare and deliver regular analytical reports that can be used to inform future strategy.
Project manage other digital initiatives when they arise.
Keep up to date with current web trends and developments and ensure we remain timely and current in our use of digital media.
Work with other digital teams in the wider company to share best practice and optimise expertise and skills
Key competencies and qualifications:
Solid experience of using digital platforms, to monetise content
Expertise in managing kids & family content
Excellent understanding of the social media universe, established connections with the major social media platforms, and full technical and analytical knowledge of how they use content to engage audiences
Demonstrable experience in using social channels to deepen audience engagement and drive revenue
A creative thinker, who is commercially astute
Ability to set up new systems and processes to monitor, report and manage activity
A team player with experience of working within a matrix system
In depth working knowledge of platform analytics/insights
