Digital Account Manager - The Role
This job is within the digital display team. Made up of an account manager, one senior executive and one executive, this team is responsible for the planning and buying of cross-channel media, including mobile, TV and sponsorship's. The job itself places you within 1 of the 9 core teams looking after 1 flagship account and various other small/medium accounts.
The flagship client for this role are a leading supermarket - one of the most disruptive brands in the UK right now. They have delivered this through aggressive growth and heavy investment in media along with some excellent creative work and are just starting the next stage of ambitious growth to continue the gains they have already made in the supermarket sector. The role incorporates regular client contact, with weekly calls and reporting as well as bi-monthly face-to-face meetings. There is a lot of implementation involved in this account, so if your strengths lie in campaign management, buying and negotiating digital media, and extracting insights from results this is a great account for you.
It is vital to establish yourself as the key Digital Display contact, both internally and externally and have an expert understanding of media market dynamics.
As a Digital Account Manager you will report directly into the team's Account Director. The role is to lead the day to day running of your client's digital display media activity in the UK, as well as to contribute to the team and company on a wider level.
Digital Account Manager - Key Skills
My client are looking for someone capable of applying fully rounded knowledge of digital media buying and delivering it within their team, as well as providing guidance to those with less experience. This person need to be able to learn quickly and adapt to the circumstances they are placed under.
The key skills required are as follows:
- A strong leader, backed with experience in team management.
- Familiar with a range of media technology
- Capable of using media planning tools, for example Comscore
- Comfortable talking about the range of media opportunities and creative formats in the market
- Ability to communicate to those at all levels who will have various levels of digital knowledge
- Able to solve problems in a proactive manner with a "can do" approach
- Eager to find new and innovative ways of meeting client objectives
- Interested in and experienced with technology.
