Account Director - The Company

My client is a global full service media agency. They are a unique mix of 350 media, creative, strategy & data talents across the globe. Challenger brands are companies disrupting the status quo and looking for faster, more nimble and imaginative media strategies. They believe that the media environment has a profound impact on how consumers see your brand, and their media orientation is built around this core belief and the clients they want to engage with. They are an agency focused on challenger brands looking to break through the competition and that wants to reinvent how to reach consumers.


Account Director - The Role

You will be responsible for the overall direction, development, and performance of client business. You are the primary point of contact for senior clients. You are responsible for raising the standard of what we do, and work with an entrepreneurial spirit to expand our client relationships and grow our business. You are accountable for the client relationship as well as the performance and development of your team. You'll be working with a team of media strategists, individual channel specialists and our data teams.

Client leadership & development

Ensure client satisfaction and retention at all levels
Manage and own senior client relationships establishing a high level of trust
Work closely with the GAD/CP to understand the clients' business, challenges, the competitive landscape and their marketing and business objectives
Lead the strategic execution for your client in collaboration with the strategy team and support in developing the marketing direction/strategy for each client given their business objectives
Identify opportunities and generate ideas for your clients, within and outside of briefs and across the MullenLowe business
Take full responsibility for the delivery of annual forecasts for each client and provide accurate updates on a monthly basis
Maintain a deep level of topical knowledge to ensure you are able to handle key client questions and establish yourself as a key point of contact for industry news/developments by developing a point of view on key topics

Team leadership

Maintain a deep of understanding of all marketing channels (PPC, SEO, Display, Native, Offline) and how they work together to effectively lead your team's knowledge as well as well-rounded development
Successfully lead account team
Establish positive team atmosphere and company culture
Provide clear role and responsibilities for each member of your team and ensure an acceptable workload
Develop the skills and knowledge of your team through mentoring, supervision and providing continual feedback on performance
Identify & propose specific team training needs where necessary
Acknowledge great performance of your team members.
Act swiftly to correct any underperformance within your team, providing clear direction and measurable timelines for improvement.



Account Director - Key Skills

6+ years' experience in digital marketing
Solid understanding of online and offline planning
Extensive knowledge of industry tools
Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
Experience in leading a team and nurturing talent
Impeccable organizational skills, comfortable with multitasking and running multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources.
