Make sure your creative CV gets you noticed

Writing a CV for the creative sector is very different from your average CV. It’s got to be simple, concise, clear and of course showcase you as a creative professional. So, here are some tips from Poppy Chenevix-Trench, Recruiter for Creative & Design jobs

How do I make it different?
“Firstly make sure that you create your CV with Adobe, it looks far better than Word. Also keep it quite short,  1 to 2 pages maximum and size wise - less than 5MB (makes it easier for emailing as large files can often gat blocked and will discourage people from reading it)

What to include
It's a good idea to include some of your potfolio within your CV too, but make sure it still looks clean and simple (black and white, an easy to read front). It's best to include around 6 to 8 pieces of your work, but don't put everything in, that way you'll have more to talk about at interviews.”

Tailor it
“There's no point sending out work thats not relevant so make sure that you tailor your CV and the work you include to the employer you're approaching."
